Hi Stampers. Well, it's Friday and time for the 10 minute challenge with my good buddy and sis, Miss Carole'Anne. She created a beautiful sketch for us with "My Digital Studio", she is amazing with that program – me, well, I finally took the cello wrapper off mine and uploaded it, got all ready to watch a webinare and got the time wrong – ever had one of those weeks?, LOL….oh well.
and check this out will you.
Whoo Hoo Mr. Nasty – he cleans up real good don't you think?
Can't you just hear that James Bond, 007 music playing…….
Here is Carole'Anne's beautiful sketch, and the colors I chose,
Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Kraft and Basic Black.
Stamp sets I used, French Filigree and Tres Chic, both Background stamps (pages 133 and 134 – big caddy)
on a piece of Kraft, 3-7/8 x 5-1/8, I black embossed the image
then I sponged it with chocolate Chip, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink
checking in with "HIMSELF" to see how we are doing – good I think!
My gosh he really is quite dashing – So who was your favorite Bond? – Mine was Shawn.
Next, I embossed a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 sheet of each of the colors,
and sponged them.
I used my Floral Fusion die, (page 196 – big caddy), to cut 3 sets of these out, one in each color. I cut each piece of embossed/sponged paper 2.5 square, to fit over the die – so you would have enough for 4 cards by using these measurements.
I also used the Flowers Layers #3 die (page 202) of the big caddy for a larger background flower
and as you can see, I sponged all these and ran them through my Crimper
I used a brad to hold the first 3 layers together and glue dots for the last piece.
oh, oh…..look what is about to happen.
Hope Miss Moneypenny didn't give him any exploding toys!
Ok – well, I was really into this card, so I decided to just let Mr Nasty play on and see how long it took me to finish this.
Regal Rose mat is 5-1/4 x 4
I layered the kraft piece to it,
attached my ribbon,
then attached the whole thing to a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 side fold card.
the ribbon – choc. Chip 1-1/4 striped grosgrain
5/8 Satin ribbon – Pretty in Pink – laid over that.
attached to the back of the two layers with some tape.
then I had to finish making the other two flowers.
check out the brads – they are called SENDING LOVE EPOXY BRADS – page 13 of the Occasions Mini. ( they are lovely – you NEED them!). and I need more of them!.
and a total of 26 minutes and 11 seconds from when I started – I ended up here.
So – sometimes, you just have to go down the creative path and see where it leads – Mr. Nasty or no Mr. Nasty….
I like this card, it's easy to create, but interesting, I got to play with lots of dies and punches, got my fingers inky with the sponging "YEAH", and just really enjoyed the creative process.
Ok my friends, if you are reading this, it's Friday Morning. If you left me comments and I have not responded, I am recovering from surgery I had yesterday. The Doctor found some cancer in my scalp in December and Thursday Morning I had it cut out, so I'm going to be away for a couple of days (with a head ache I am sure), but be rest assured, I will be back and will answer your comments as soon as I can. Thank you for visiting me and making the sharing and blogging thing just so much fun.
Update, it is Basal cancer, which means self contained, and no chemo required. Interesting procedure, just freezing, nothing else, which is great for recovery. I have a lovely 3 inch long "WHACK" in my head, and they had to shave me, so if you seen any cute hats – let me know, I will be wearing a lot of them – LOL – Sandi
Hope you get some ink on your fingers today.
NOW< lets go visit my partner the oh so talented, Miss Carole'Anne and her sidekick, Miss Villaine to see what beautiful creation they all came up with and hopefully she made it within 10 minutes or we shall have a bust this week – LOL.
thank you so much for visiting both of us and we would love to hear from you
Have a wonderful weekend ya'll

Tout d’abord je te souhaite un promt rétablissement, toutes mes pensées t’accompagnent dans cette épreuve.
J’aime beaucoup la technique pour les fleurs, comme je n’ai pas de fleurs en crochet, je pense adopter ta technique.
Amicalement.
Bises.
First of all I wish you a promt recovery, all my thoughts accompany you in this ordeal.
I like very much the technique for flowers, as I have no flowers in crochet, I think of adopting your technique.

Great Card!!!!! love the colors and the flowers!
I just love to check out your 10-minute cards! (Actually I love to check out everything on your blog!) I think Mr. Nasty needs to relax and give you a break. He obviously doesn’t have his “head in the game” – he’s got his eye on something else!
I love this card! I am so glad that I decided to order the Flower Fusion die because I’ve seen some great samples done with it lately!
Also am glad to hear that your procedure was successful. Take time to rest up though!
Beautiful card. Great colors and I love your flowers. Totally a fantastic card.
I think you and Carole’ Anne tied again!
I love you both and you are in my prayers
for a speedy healing.
You are in my thoughts for a speedy recovery from your surgery. I just love your creation and thankful for all of your sharing.
Have good weekend and take care of yourself. Remember it is okay to take some TLC time for yourself too.
Brenda
Your cards are just beautiful. I check on them every day. I will be keeping you in prayer. God is good, all the time. I’m praising him for your good news. Enjoy your hats.
Barb
Hi Sandi,You sure kept busy since Dec. when you received your not-so-good news. I’m glad your surgery went well. It sounds like you are on the road to recovery. You are in my prayers. Your card is so different. I love your background and the cute flowers. You really did a nice job. Oh, and Mr. Nasty is quite distinguished looking. I’m sure he turned Mme. Vilaine’s head.
You ladies are toooooo funnny. Mr. Nasty is toooo dashing. The cards are brilliant! Hugs to you both! Take care, I somehow missed the surgery part, so hope all is well.
Marsha
Sandi, first of all ~ oh so thankful it was basal cell and no treatments required. So what if you have to wear a hat to cover the surgery? I’m sure you’ll look just stunning. Love this card by the way. Can’t imagine you put this up against a 10-minute challenge. I would have been floored had you accomplished that. Take care of yourself!
Hi Sandi…love the card, it’s just beautiful! Mr. Nasty is looking quite dashing indeed….isn’t it amazing what love can do for us? I sincerely hope that your procedure wasn’t too bad and that you don’t have any headaches or other problems. Glad to hear it’s basal cell…much easier to handle than some of the other types for sure! Hugs and healing for ya, girl…you rock! Jan Hoyt
Hi Sandi! So very sorry you had to go through your procedure and shave your hair (or a part?) but it’s great that is was basel cell and not anything worse!! Woo Hoo! The downside of being as fair as your are I guess.
You card is stunning and Mr. Nasty is a hoot! Those eyeballs cracked me up when I saw them, not to speak of the “tux”. Very fun!
Take care (seriously).
How dapper Mr. Nasty was today. I hope you keep him, or maybe turn him into a frog with a crown so he becomes your prince! LOL
GREAT CARD and TECHNIQUES!!!
Hi Sandi,
Love your card! I look forward to both you Carole’Anne with your 10m cards – my type! I always get a laugh out of the 2 of you!
Take care
Vicky
Hi Sandi:
I’m so glad your skin cancer procedure went well and that it could be taken care of with freezing.
Your card was great! Mr Nasty always brings a smile.
Take time for you. You are a very special lady.
Aloha, Mary G
Hi Sandi. I am glad you are well, and hope your procedure doesn’t interfere with what is REALLY important, i.e., keeping your fingers inky.
Your card is great. Good thing you can ignore Mr Nasty when the creative juices are overflowing. The flowers are lovely, I like the effect of the Friend wheel, the crimping, and the layers of the three different colors. Nice job!
Wishing you a very speedy recovery and glad the surgery went well!
I think we should change Mr. Nasty’s name to “Monsieur Debonaire” (not sure about the spelling!!). (What? No bunny suit?) Great card, and I love the way you layered the pink ribbon over the wide striped ribbon. I’ll have to try this! The flowers are absolutely gorgeous. I learn something new everytime I check your blog. Isn’t it great to be home again?
Take care my friend!
Wow! This is my first time in your blog. What a wonderful blog! So many things to do here. How fun! Thanks for also for stopping by and leaving a comment in my blog.
