I'm so bad. I have not put the brayer away yet…BUT, I have a new tutorial for you, and it is even faster than the "Mystic Mountain" Brayer technique, so grab a coffee and have a read. Boy are you guys going to be happy when I figure out video.
cut a 3 inch hole out of a piece of card stock, and save both pieces. The cut out piece I will call the circle. The outside piece, is going to be called the hole…Take your circle and center it onto a piece of 4×4 Whisper White card stock.
Now, lay the "hole" over this and line it up, then without moving the "hole", remove the "center". You now have a centered mask.
Fully ink up your brayer, and roll it once across a piece of scrap paper to remove some ink.
Holding onto your "hole", and starting off the circle, pushing hard, brayer one way, ONCE, then turn your brayer 45 degrees and brayer once more. Push hard. This should fully cover the circle. You are going to get some shadows of the circle and some light markings, that is ok, we want that.
If you take off the "hole" or the mask, this is what it should look like
Depending on which images you decide to stamp with, you want to place your hole/mask back over the Whisper White Square, to protect the white portion. Do your stamping,
Then, remove it, and you are done. Take this piece and mount it to a 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic Black card stock, and mount that whole unit to a 5×5 piece of cardstock that matches the ink you brayered with.
Some of the cards have a "spotlight image around a certain part of the stamp I wanted to highlight. I used the same masking system as with the moon in the "Mystic Mountain" tutorial. Lay the circle over the piece, sponge on So Saffron, then highlight the right edge with Pumpkin Pie.
The white gel Pen is also a great tool for adding some additional highlights quickly.
I promise, I have put the brayer away, but I have more of these cards to share with you over the next couple of days. That will give me time to finish up a few other things on the go.
So, thanks for stopping by, enjoy trying this great little technique. It is very fast. I made 14 cards yesterday in a couple of hours. I brayered all my circles first, then went back and did my stamping, mass cut all my pieces. It went very quickly. Have fun.

Wow – what an awesome idea!!!!!!!! LOVE your brayered circles! And your flower soft bicycle is so dreamy and gorgeous.
Thanks for the tip on lining up the circle mask, I have never thought to do it that way before and always end up with circles a little off. It was like those V-8 bonk on the head commercials, duh!
Thanks for the great tutorial. I made a card this morning and had such fun. I’m definitely going to keep the brayer out for a while
I just love these cards…fairly new to Stampin Up, I am still learning the color combos. What colors did you use for these cards? I want to make sure that I have them in my stash just in case any of them will be retiring…thanks for the wonderful job!
