Bird on a branch stamp set-bird house

Howdy and welcome back.  Remember last week I warned you about something bright coming your way.  Well, they are ready for their Debut, so starting today, we are going to bug out your poor eye balls my friends.  You can blame this on the design team over at Late Night Stampers ok?  They have a new challenge for this week, "What reminds us of summer".  To me, it is the flowers, the beautiful trees and welcoming back all our feathered and furry friends.  So then, my weird little brain has to take it way outside the box, and I have to build a birdhouse out of the Sizzix Matchbox Bigz XL die, still available in the Occasions Mini Catalog( on page 17) until June 30th.

I created 3 separate matchboxes, 2 Yoyo Yellow, 1 Gable Green.  The outside cover I did in Whisper White, Then I built a new cover for the whole thing also in whisper white.  I stamped my branch and flowers on this piece before I attached it to the matchboxes.  Then I built a roof from Yoyo Yellow, then I shingled the roof with cut out Gable Green flowers white embossed from the Garden Greetings Stamp set on page  55.  The Bird, and the Branch, are from the set called "Bird on a Branch" oh now how ironic is that!…page 95.  Of course, then there needed to be a card to match, so it is a top folding 4-1/4 x 5-1/2, mat is Yoyo Yellow, 4 x 5-1/4 then another piece of Whisper White which is 3-7/8 x 5-1/8. The ovals are cut with my Big Shot and the Originals Dies, Ovals.  Again, I stamped the images before putting them together.  The little birds were stamped with Pixie Pink onto scraps of Whisper White and cut out.

Come on back tomorrow, I have an even brighter set for you.

A heads up.  New Catalog July 1st and that means New In-Colors.  This month the special with Stampin Up is on the Designer Series Paper which is on sale, buy 3, get one free.  My guess, and I am only guessing here, any of that designer paper that has an in color in it will be Gonzo… SO, if you are like me and  totally in love with some of those, you might want to stock up before the end of the month.

For example.  Yesterday's Class Kit for Sale post uses the Parisian Breeze Specialty paper on page 158.  Full of Baja Breeze.  The matching ribbon, VALET on page 178, also full of Baja.

Few weeks ago, I Posted the Urban Oasis Box set, using the Fifth Avenue Florals Stamp set and the coordinating, Urban Oasis Designer Series Paper.  Again, full of Baja and Kiwi.  I love this stamp set and this paper, so I am stocking up. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally excited to see the new in-colors, but some of this paper has only been here for 6 months and I don't think I'm quite finished fooling with it yet.

Ok, I'm outa here, back to creating.  Thanks for stopping in.
