Howdy Stampers and welcome back. Firstly I would like to address a couple of questions that have been popping up in the past 24 hours concerning the new tutorial (see right sidebar).
1) – What if you don't have the Dream Garden Stamp set? Some good substitutes are: Embrace Life, Eastern Influences, Asian Artistry and even today's spot lighted set, Flower Fancy.
2) – How much are my tutorials? They are all $5.00. I started the tutorials to help fellow demonstrators with projects for classes, and fellow stampers to create with their Stampin Up purchases. It is not my wish to get rich from this, just to cover my expenses, and it does.
3) – Where are my tutorials? on my blog www.sandimaciver.com The right side bar, 2nd item FOR SALE just click on the picture, it will open the description page for you. There are presently 5 tutorials in there, pick the one you are interested in, click on the picture and the Paypal page will come up.
As soon as I finish my blog tour items, I'm going to do some samples of this latest tutorial in other stamp sets and Design Paper – as requested by many of you. Thank you for your hints, suggestions and compliments. I always appreciate feed back good or bad (I prefer good, but I want to hear bad too-as nicely as possible please). It will help me streamline these tutorials into exactly what you gals are looking for.
Oh, lets get on to some stamping. I took a well deserved day off today and played a little (ok, a 1/2 day off). I Loved the layout yesterday for the Mojo Monday week 95 challenge so I am using that as my layout inspiration.
I am also using the OF THE EARTH Stamp set (page 101) and the COTTAGE WALL Designer Series paper (page 160)and the Ribbon Originals, ELEMENTARY (page 182).
Wanna know a secret, these are all items I am using for my display in the upcoming ROYAL BLOG TOUR too…..I'm kind of a fan of purple and green.
So why two cards – well I wanted to point out a little gift we get from Stampin Up every single time we buy a package of their Designer Series paper. It is all coordinated. These two cards are exactly the same in every single way, except, I turned over the base piece of Designer Series paper. Isn't it amazing how different the card looks just by doing that one thing. And, you don't have to worry about it matching, because it's all the same colors, just a different design.
I'm going to help you out a little here with this Mojo Monday design. Here are the measurements for all the pieces I used.
Base card – 4 1/4 x 5-1/2 side fold.
Rich Razzleberry mat – 4 x 5-1/4
Cottage Wall DSP – 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
The piece across the bottom is actually 3 layers.
Rich Razzleberry 2 x 4 – punched with the eyelet boarder punch.(pg 187)
Old Olive, 1-1/4 x 4 inches.
Cottage Wall DSP – 1-1/4 x 4 inches.
Background little square on the right is:
Cottage Wall DSP – 2 x 2 inches square.
Old Olive mat 2-1/8 x 2-1/8 inches square.
the little birdie was inked with Old Olive ink and stamped on a scrap of Whisper White, cut him out leaving 1/8 inch boarder and distress the edges with our distressing tool (page 191).
Here is a picture of the construction process. I break it down into little sections, makes it easier. I layer all my items, then, if I don't have a sketch to follow like I do today, I use all these pieces to audition where I would like them on the card. Sometimes I add, sometimes I take away.
I used my Stampin Write Markers to color these flowers. Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Orchid Opulance. If you do the lighter flower first, you don't have to clean your stamp before doing the darker color (I hate cleaning stamps – which is quite evident if you actually see my stamps, LOL).
Ok, that's my share for you today, don't forget when you are finished creating your own little jem, upload it to the Mojo Monday website for all to see.
As always, if you do not have a Stampin Up Demonstrator and you would like to order any of these items, I would love to be your demonstrator, just contact me, or simply click the "shop now" button top left of my blog.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you find a little time today to be creative and some ink on those pretty little fingers of yours.
Hugs

Did I ever tell you – this is the first card I saw (on SCS) that brought me to your web site, and to you! I have made many cards from this layout. One of my favorite!

Great colors and stamp set! After seeing your lovely cards using Of The Earth, I’m really inspired to use mine. Thanks for the ideas.
