Good Morning and welcome back. Been crazy busy around here. Almost finished with the March class tutorial. This month the technique is the Watercolor Wonder Crayons and the Aqua Painter. It is by far, my most fav of all the art supplies put out by Stampin Up. Stay tuned for the debut.
I am also almost finished with the butterfly "THING" I have been fooling with, but as you can see, I am still having fun with the little bunny head I gave you last week. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN 5 POSTS TO MR. AND MRS. COTTONTAIL, THE TEMPLATE FOR THE HEAD IS THERE RIGHT UNDER THE PICTURE
Today, we have a little box made from the Big Shot die, Scallop Envelope. You cut 4 of them, tape them together with the side flaps and close up the bottom. I added some Raspberry Tart Designer paper for some color. I built the head and attached it to the top of the box, then I thought the box could be the tummy and I needed to make feet. The feet are made from our new Wide Oval punch, #12, on page 184. The bottom pad is the 1 inch circle punch and the little toes are just the regular everyday hole punch. How did I get "Easter Wishes" on each foot? First, the stamp is from "ALL HOLIDAYS" (seriously people, you need that stamp set), I used my Real Red Stampin Write Marker and I colored one word at a time, stamped it on a pink scrap, and punched it out with my 1 inch circle hole punch.
Do you like her flowers? One of my new toys to go in my Big Shot. page 200, bottom right corner, the "Flower Blossom" die. I overlapped a So Saffron and Cameo Coral for her hair, a Cameo Coral for between her feet,
and another Cameo Coral for the back, to go along with her little Cotton Tail bum.
I tried something different with this flower.
When you take it out of the machine, very carefully turn it over and add snail to the centre part of each petal. Attach it to your finished product, then carefully bend the inside cut part of the petal forward, this gives a very cool 3 dimensional flower.
Ok, that is my project for you today. Come on back tomorrow for a SPECIAL SHAPE Easter card to go along with the bunny box gifts we have been making.
Until then, thank you so much for stopping by, hope you have a wonderful day and make time for yourself – STAMP SOMETHING!
