Ok, good luck on the draw and now lets work on the

Late Night Stampers Design Team Challenge.

This week – our challenge is to use some Designer Paper

Hmmmm, I might have a little of that around – oh look, I have not cleaned up from creating the tutorial yet (now there's a surprise right?), so lets use the same stamp set, A GOOD EGG, and the same paper, TEA PARTY

Here is what I did!

IMG_3618
Card is So Saffron, 5 x 10, score and side fold at 5

Mat is Certainly Celery – 4-3/4 square

here is where it gets tricky.

the two flowered DSP pieces are 2 x 2-1/4,

the spotted DSP pieces are 2-1/4 x 2-1/2

IMG_3623
TIP – I place all my pieces in position then take one off at a time, add adhesive and attach, that way I can watch my layers and get the pieces on straight.

IMG_3620
Here is the center pieces for the card.

a Base of So Saffron, 3 inches square

Whisper White – 2-3/4 square

strip of DSP down left side – 3/4 inch  x 2-3/4

stamp the chicken in Basic black on the white

Stamp the chicken on the pale yellow dsp,

stamp it again on the flowered dsp

IMG_3621

cut out the chicken and attach to the Whisper White

IMG_3622
cut out the egg and attach

IMG_3624
fussy cut a flower that shows on that side strip- for an overlay

IMG_3627
cut out the center from another flower,

and the center flower from yet another

attach each of these layers with dimensionals.

I put a So Saffron Brad through the center of that little green flower before I attached it.

IMG_3628
seeing as I totally destroyed a whole sheet of card stock above – why stop!

I cut out a pink flower, then I cut it in half, mounted half above and half below the chicken.

(sorry Randi – she absolutely hates fussy cutting – I'll have to cut this one for her, tee-hee)

IMG_3632
attach 16 inches of that beautiful new Pretty in Pink satin ribbon,

attach all those other pieces to the card.

I added 3 brads down the right side of the chicken,

and cut out another little yellow flower.

I love this card, tons to look at.

lots of layers

IMG_3631
and I missed the stripped paper in the package, so I put it on the inside,

I cut it the same as the egg on the chicken.

I thought I had used every single piece of paper in this paper pack, Tea Party,

sadly, after  a recount, I missed the two purple pieces…..oh, I tried, and seeing as it's my birthday – you'll give me a "gimmy" won't you!. (golf slang for "close enough")

So the challenge is on all week over at Late Night Stampers, get out your DSP, create a little project and share it with us won't you?

Don't forget to click through to my blog if you get this by e-mail, so you can leave me a comment – e-mail comments don't count.

Then sign up to become a fan – that enters you again – and down the road, fan's are going to get special treats and little surprises too….and I'm not announcing them ahead of time, they will just happen! – so be there – or be square my friends.

Thank you so much for stopping in.  I'm off for another piece of CAKE!

Happy stamping – hope you get some ink on your fingers today.
