At Stampin UP Convention we had the opportunity to purchase this little stamp called
LOVE WHAT YOU DO,
and SHARE WHAT YOU LOVE is also the motto for Stampin Up. It is a motto I live by and so when I saw the Sweet Sunday Sketch #79 , I KNEW right away, which stamp I would be playing with.
Here is my finished card and I’ll share a little tutorial of how I got there.
I inked the stamp with my Stamp-n-write markers, Melon Mambo, Marina Mist and Old Olive, I cut my ovals with the OVALS DIE, #114525 page 213,
I attached a piece of 1-1/4 ” Striped Grosgrain in Marina Mist (7 inches) to the embossed piece before attaching it to the card base which is Marina Mist, 4-1/4 x 11, scored and folded at 5-1/2
(ok, I didn’t create this technique, it was presented at Convention – Yes – One more reason to go – They share awesome ideas with you)…You can only go if your a demonstrator though -
I can hook you up, tee hee…. call me.
Layer your stamped art piece to the bigger Oval and attach with DIMENSIONALS #104430, page 197
Ok, you know that I am “thrifty” (nice word for CHEAP!), and I always cut my dimensionals in half. Don’t do that here. The brads are heavy, the flowers are still damp – Break the Bank, use a Whole Dimensional on the back of your flowers. You want them to stay on the card right?
ANYWAY, because the paper was wet, and you scrunched it, it kind of looks like leather, it’s very cool.
now, don’t you just love your BIG SHOT MACHINE #113439, PAGE 204 Guess What, this card would almost have made it for the Friday 10 minute challenge……..
All of the items used today can be purchased through my ONLINE STORE.
I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial today, it felt so nice to be back stamping….now I have to return to cutting all my shares. The Designer paper is finished, now to the ribbon……..it is so beautiful.,
I’ll share a picture of all that lusciousness ,,,tomorrow.
until then, give your Mr. Big Shot a little love and create a card or two,
and share what you LOVE!.
