Howdy and welcome back. Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I have been learning the My Digital Studio or MDS program. Actually I'm taking a certification program through Stampin Up…..yes, computer illiterate me, tee hee… I can't begin to tell you how much fun this program is and how EASY it is. Or how I have spent HOURS at my computer playing. ehem,,,I mean working! ….so I thought what the hey, why don't I do my challenge on MDS this week.
So, the challenge this week is a sketch
created by our very talented Stamp-A-Holic Team Member Debbie Pike
Thanks so much Debbie, awesome layout
It is a very cool sketch and it taught me a lot about MDS layering ovals, inserting stamps, adding ribbon, adding shadows to give everything a 3-d effect, and of course, there were new downloads, so I had to go and buy those…I got 12 items for $34. now, what a deal that is and they are in my computer forever.
Ok, so I'll tell you right up front, Mr. Nasty is doing the Happy Dance, because he won this week…..but I will get faster so watch out you little smartly pants you!….tee hee..
Here is what I created.
Isn't this paper just SO COOL…..There is a new set of Designer paper called SUMMERTIME SPLENDOR. It has 6 different flower images and the very nice fellow Trevor at Stampin Up taught me how to take this 12 x 12 image and turn it into a 5 x 7 card on MDS……when I get more confident in what I am talking about, I shall share that with you too.
Ok, phew, I did it,,,,now I have to send it to Stampin Up to have it professionally printed, then they mail the finished piece to me, now how cool is that? "SQUEAL"
Something else I'm working on is a whole scrapbook, over 25 pages, and when I'm all finished creating That, I'm sending it to Stampin Up to have it printed as well and they will mail me a finished book, with a cover and everything……awesome awesome tool, if you have not tried it, you really should.
Ok, I will be back tomorrow, I have been playing mad scientist in the studio and I think I have come up with something you might like! So please come back and see it……and please leave me a comment about my very first MDS card, I'm so darned proud of it, LOL…
Don't forget to visit Miss Carole'Anne and see what beautiful creations she and the rest of the design team have come up with for this sketch challenge CLICK HERE to go there!
And second day of no inky finer hugs – cause hey, with MDS you don't get ink on your fingers, tee hee…..

sis
way to go Sandi!!! You’ve convinced me that even I could do the MDS program too!
Great job this is gorgeous. I love using my MDS to make cards. In fact I do it more than I use it for scrapbooking. You know instead of sending it to SU you can get it done at your local printers or have it printed on your computer. Thanks for the fun card to copy. I hope you and everyone has a great weekend.

I too just love this paper. It makes me very happy & Oh My Goodness it is so pretty. I really like the card you created with the sketch too. Can’t wait to see the printed version. Will you share it with us? Have a great weekend.
You are so clever to do the challenge in MDS. Beautiful card! Love the paper.
Your card is beautiful Sandi. Cudos on learning the MDS way of making cards. Only one question comes to mind. Where’s the ink on your fingers??? That’s half the fun of making cards or scrapbook pages – getting ink on your fingers. Stampin in Baltimore Maryland.tq
This card is gorgeous! I love that paper. Question: is the paper just for MDS or is there a pack of physical paper that I could buy as well?
Thans for sharing…all that you do.
Way to go!! You did a great job with mds!! I am just trying to learn it as well, there are so many great features! I love the dsp!! Did you design he inside if the card as well?
