You know what they say about the best made plans…..
we have yet another date change for the Sequim Event – the Last I hope.
Turns out, May 8th is the Irrigation Festival Parade, which goes right by our venue and we would even be able to get into it.
so
SAVE THE DATE MAY 22 2010
SEQUIM WASHINGTON
More details to follow but it will be a fun filled event, lots of really cool projects, door prizes, snacks, door prizes, did I mention door prizes.
Also a great time to get together with friends you haven't stamped with in awhile, I know that is the part I am really looking forward to.
I promise to get this finalized in the next week and get the sign up page up and running for you all.
Ok, I have a little card share for you today and a cute little trick.
before you go off the deep end – yes this is a Stampin Up Stamp.
Retired set, Oriental Brushstrokes, from 2004
and the cool embossing folders, are from the company with the little green machine that started the embossing folder craze (sorry, I'm not allowed to publish the name).
2 very dear friends sent me this new 8 pack of Asian folders recently and I have been having a blast with them.
Do you like the background tag behind the fish?
Want to know how I made it?
I punched the curly label punch from a scrap of black
then I cut off the two ends.
I measured the width of the inside edge,
cut another scrap of black long enough for my fish
attached them all together.
Used a Gold ink pen around the edges to high light the design
it also hides the layer lines for me.
Isn't that cool, a very fast and easy way to make a tag any length you need it.
Ok, the Good Idea Fairy is visiting me today, so I'm working on March's tutorial.
Happy stamping to you all, thanks for visiting, leave me a comment and let me know what you think if my little tag idea won't you
and see you tomorrow.

Great idea Sandi–don’t you just love finding multiple uses and different purposes for things we have purchased. You have a “great” eye to see all these things. TFS!
I have been playing with the top note die recently – cutting it at different angles etc. – it gives me more variety– I really like this idea- another way to get more from what we have — you have a great fairy!! Thank you for sharing.
Love your tag! Great idea, again thanks for sharing.
It’s great to see how to alter something so it can be more versatile such as you did with the curly label. Nice idea. (Your card is lovely, too.)
What a cool trick with that Curly Label Punch! What won’t you think of next?! I’m sure I’ll be using this one soon! Thanks for sharing ~ AGAIN!!

I love the embossing templates and went to find them… can you ask your friend where she found them?
I love oriental things and your card was awesome!
What a great way to use a Punch and get double duty out of it! Your mind certainly does work in very creative ways. Thanks for sharing this little tip, I am surely going to put it to good use soon. If you can do this with the Punch, then couldn’t you also do this with the Top Note? I know it would make it rather large, but maybe for certain projects. Hmmmm, my brain is cranking away…
