Hi stamping friends. Busy weekend around here and today and tomorrow I'm going to share with you some of the things I was working on.
Pansy, lots and lots of pansy.
We have a ton of friends with March Birthdays and I had a swap theme of "birthday" so I decided to combine it with a curiosity of mine.
I can't tell you how many times I have stopped at page 170 in my catalog.
Pansy remind me of my mom and her birthday is March 12th, so I decided that was a pretty good excuse to order this Card Kit and see exactly what was in it.
It comes in a beautiful gift box, with a pretty Belly Band.
and look at all the goodies. I love pre-cut kits, you can just open and create, no measuring or fussing around.
the stamp set is Die cut so fast to mount, and off I went stamping my little face off. I used StazOn Ink as it does what it says – it stays on!. I'm going to get the paper wet and I don't want my image to run.
I decided to add a little color, so I scribbled my Summer Sun Marker on the protective cover of some of the glue dots, used that as my palette, and picked up the ink with my Aqua Painter Pen to paint the center of these happy little guys.
next, I mixed my Elegant Eggplant reinker 3 drops, with 3 drops of my Shimmer White Paint and painted my flowers.
I cut up scraps of whisper White to make into sentiment flags.
I distressed the edges then inked them.
and I made a whole herd of them. The ones on the left are from the kit, the ones on the right I made into 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 birthday cards so I re-sized the pieces to fit and changed the base card color to lighten them up a little.
Phew, one swap and 4 birthdays down. Come on back tomorrow to see the next project won't you, and don't forget to leave me a comment to enter for the blog candy. That would be the other thing I have been working on all weekend. The Pre-cut kits for this months' Tutorial. Thank you for all your orders, the first batch will be out tomorrow -
thanks so much for visiting, see you tomorrow my stamping friends and hope you had some time to get some ink on your fingers this weekend too.

Oh my gosh- I love this set!! In Fact I have it and I haven’t even pulled it out of the BOX!!! Now for sure Im going to have to!! My simply set kits just sit and collect dust- and I really should pull them out and use them!!! (instead of just buying them!) :> Thanks so much for sharing!!!
I Love your work.
I, too, have eyed that set since the new catalogue came out. The color scheme is wonderful on both cards and that pansy stamp is gorgeous. Your coloring of it turned out so lovely. So glad you were able to share that today!
They are absolutely gorgeous Sandi, I do hope this kit comes to New Zealand in September when we get our new catalogue. Perfect for a male or female birthday. I won a simply sent kit on the internet in a competition before I became a demo and yes it got me hooked on Stampin Up and yes it was the reason I joined up. The kits certainly make stamping very very easy
I look at this set everytime I put an order in!! I love it. I have never bought a precut kit which is probably why I haven’t purchased it yet. You certainly are making it more difficult to resist!
Your cards are beautiful!!
Just gorgeous! Love what you did with this kit.
Theses are wonderful cards! What a great SS kit!
Your “coloring” is beautiful. And I have a question: What’s the difference between the Aqua Painter and the Blender Pen? (I’ve never used an Aqua Painter.) Thanks!
ANSWER:
Hi Gwen. The difference is the Aqua painter is a reservoir pen that holds water that you squeeze to come out in small amounts and you use this to blend the colors.
Blender Pen has a substance in it that keeps the tip damp, like a marker, and also blends colors. The Aqua painter, you can adjust how much “wetness” you want – not so with the blender. They are both great tools though. I use my blender with my colored pencils and am working on a tutorial for you on exactly that subject. Sandi
Oh NO! Please put it back on! I couldn’t bear it if you were no longer able to stamp because you stamped you face off!
I love this set, too, and stop everytime I pass it in the catalog, too. Gorgeous cards and I’m so glad you had a chance to create more pretties for us to see later this week! Hope you enjoyhed the break!
Beautiful cards! I have this kit and I just love it:-) Thanks for more inspiration to play with it!
Inky hugs,
Janet

Now I don’t think I’ll be able to continue to do that! Aaargh! I L-O-V-E what you did with this and cannot wait to try mixing some shimmer with reinker. Thanks for sharing!!

Beautiful cards, Sandi! I love the idea of mixing the reinker color with the Shimmer White paint – I keep forgetting about that stuff! Got to get it out and do some creating! TFS!
P.S. How can I get into a card swap with you?????
I LOVE panseys too. They are such fun spring flowers. thanks for sharing about the card kit with us…I have wondered what exactly are in those kits.
Please enter me in the drawing for the BLOG CANDY. Thanks
I have to be careful when I look at Carole’Anne’s and your blog. I always find something that I want to get out of the catalog. I always thought buying a kit was cheating for me. It kind of took the artistry away. BOY DID YOU PROVE ME WRONG. This is spectacular and is a great way to dress it up. Thanks for the gorgeous inspiration.
