I took an hour today to play – I have a few deadlines that are looming, but I needed a break from a project I'm working on!….I saw this picture a few days ago, and thought – Hmmmmm, I bet I can do that in ink
I needed a solid leaf stamp, so I decided this one in GREAT FRIEND STAMP SET (page 122) #113792 $17.95 would do the trick.
I stamped the image with Versmark and embossed it with clear embossing powder
Then I sponged Old Olive and Marina Mist onto it.
I stamped the leaf again with Versamark and covered it with Clear Embossing powder and heat set it again,
Then I sponged Night of Navy onto it – can you see how the layers of the clear embossing are protecting the different colors of sponging as I'm working my way through it.
HMMMM – some rubber gloves might have been a good idea here!, LOL….
and just look at the awesome design I am creating on the scrap paper I'm working on!

As you can tell, my favorite colors (matches my blog), tee hee, and my most favorite thing about this card – no extra postage required to mail them out…..YEAH……..
I did the card in Night of Navy, 4-1/4 x 11, score and fold at 5-1/2
the art piece is Whisper White, 3-1/2 x 4-3/4,
matted with Whisper White, 3-5/8 x 4-7/8
and Pear Pizzazz 3-3/4 x 5
I stamped and embossed the dove with White Embossing powder on a piece of Shimmer Gold,in real life, it is really really pretty. The Dove Stamp is from the PEACEFUL SEASON HOSTESS LEVEL 2 STAMP SET in the Holiday Mini Catalog
and the "Merry Christmas sentiment is from this set, COME TO BETHLEHEM, page 43, #118732 (wood) $19.95 and #120591 (clear) $14.95
Well, that was a great creative break, I enjoyed that, sure hope you did too. The whole card took about 20 minutes to do.
